About Us

The Mindfulness Center for Healthy Living is a non-sectarian organization which promotes mindful living and offers a supportive community for those seeking to reduce stress and live more mindfully. The Center grew out of the teaching of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course developed in 1979 by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. While the MBSR course is the foundation of the Center’s offerings, our mission is to offer a wide variety of programs and products that will support and encourage creative and conscious living.

We offer courses in the tradition of MBSR to individuals and groups wishing to learn meditation and to MBSR graduates and others with an established mindfulness practice. We also offer talks, workshops and retreats on mindfulness and stress management.

“Mindful Matters,” the newsletter of the Mindfulness Center for Healthy Living, is published quarterly.
